Medicare Supplement is different from a Medicare Advantage Plan

Sometimes called Part C, part of the Medicare program.  You usually get all of your Medicare health care through this plan.  This coverage can include prescription drug coverage

Things you should know

You must be enrolled into Medicare Part A & Part B to be eligible for a Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage.

You can enroll Three months before, the month you turn 65 or three months after

Medicare Supplement---You pay  private insurance a monthly premium.

When enrolling into a Medicare Supplement Plan, you should enroll into a prescription drug plan or you are subject to a late penalty.

Medicare Advantage

These are managed care plans usually a PPO or HMO.

You use the card that you get from the

plan for your health care.

Most of these plans have extra benefits, and lower co-payments than Original Medicare.
